COSMOGEL® LP2
COSMOGEL™ LP2 is an acrylic copolymer indicated as thickener for water based detergents as well as idro-alcoholic systems.

|---|---|
| Odour | characteristic |
| Solid content % | 29 - 31,5 |
| pH (Original product) | 1,5 - 3 |
| Viscosity Brook. (sol. 1%) mPas | 4500 - 11000 |
Applications
COSMOGEL LP2 is activated by increasing the pH to about 6 or slightly above. COSMOGEL™ LP2 gives transparent pseudoplastic gels even with difficult to thick surfactants at low active matter. COSMOGEL™ LP2 grants superior suspending properties to pearling agents, beads and air bubbles due to its higher yield with respect to standard acrylic thickeners. COSMOGEL™ LP2 in presence of SLES-CAPB and NaCl systems increases viscosity at neutral pH granting transparency above pH 5,5. COSMOGEL™ LP2 should be first diluted in de-ionized water under slow stirring. Upon increasing pH with TEA or NaOH to 7, a pseudoplastic transparent gel will be obtained.
Packaging
COSMOGEL LP2 is delivered in plastic drums of 200kg on wrapped pallets of 800kg and IBC containers.
Storage
COSMOGEL LP2 should be stored in its original packing at ambient temperature away from direct sun light and protected from freeze and heat. Storage temperature should be: 5-25°C
