Applications
COSMOGEL™ 942N dispesions are characterized by their high viscosity and clarity. It is very suitable for formulating clear gels as well as for stabilizing emulsions. Normal percentage of use is between 0.1 - 1,5% depending on type of formulation and final desired viscosity. COSMOGEL 942N unlike traditional carbomers, does not require any neutralization nor pre-dispersion. It starts thickening as soon as dispersed in water or in water / alcohol and produces a clear sparkling gel. Dispersion should be made by slow addition of the polymer in order to avoid the formation of lumps. Turbulent agitation should be avoided to prevent trapping of air which would be difficult to remove from the finished product.
Packaging
COSMOGEL™ 942N is packed in boxes of 20 kg on wrapped pallets of 400 kg net.
