282 ingredients, one page: search by trade name, INCI name or CAS, then narrow by what the ingredient has to do and where it goes.
The catalogue no longer arrives as a PDF attached to an email. Every ingredient has a page of its own with the characteristics table from its technical data sheet, and the whole range can be searched from one field: trade name, INCI name, CAS number, or simply what the ingredient has to do.
The filters follow the search rather than precede it. A question is only asked while it still separates one ingredient from another — ionic character is asked of surfactants, never of a wax — so the page gets smaller as the brief gets more precise, instead of opening a rail of a hundred checkboxes on arrival.
The catalogue shows the most typical grades; alternative grades often exist, and special grades are considered within the available technological and production platform.
